Applying for schools outside Surrey

If you live in Surrey and wish to apply for a school outside the administrative county of Surrey, you need to contact the neighbouring Local Authority in which the school is located and ask for information about admissions to that school.

For September 2012 admissions to reception, year 3 and year 7 you need to complete the Surrey Local Authority (LA) preference form, with the school outside Surrey listed as one of your preferences. You may also need to complete the school's own supplementary information form.

Surrey Local Authority will forward any preferences for neighbouring Local Authority schools to that Local Authority. If the neighbouring Local Authority is able to offer a place at one of their schools it will notify Surrey LA who will then formally offer the place to your child.
