You might need to check with your manager. From the 1 September 2012, the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage states that:
The Ofsted Childcare Register requires the registered person to make sure that at least one person who is caring for children has an appropriate first aid qualification.
As of 1 September 2012, Surrey Early Years and Childcare Service no longer provide funding towards paediatric first aid courses.
First aid training must be local authority approved and be relevant for workers caring for young children. The following lists Surrey Early Years and Childcare Service recognised training providers as they meet Surrey Early Years and Childcare Service's quality assurance standards and offer a 12 hour paediatric first aid course. You need to renew your certificate every three years. The DfE has confirmed that if a particular training course provider has already been approved by another English Local Authority, then that would be sufficient because the EYFS does not require that approval has to be from a specific Local Authority.
