Brighten up your winter with the sight of exotic butterflies and the beauty of RHS Garden Wisley’s world-class Glasshouse, with the spectacular 'Butterflies in the Glasshouse' event 14 January – 26 February 2012.
See a wide range of colourful and exotic butterflies as they settle into the tropical zone of the Glasshouse. Wander underneath palms and watch the butterflies as they take part in courtship flights and feed from plant nectar and fruit that have been specially grown for the butterflies to feed from.
With these majestic butterflies filling the air there are plenty of photo opportunities as colour, light and movement can easily be captured. For those looking to hone their photographic skills, RHS Garden Wisley will be running two photography mornings in the Glasshouse to teach you how to take pictures of these exotic insects.
There will also be a collection of giant caterpillars so that visitors can experience the full life cycle of these wonderful creatures
