Caterham Community Recycling Centre
Shaping Surrey's Community Recycling Centres - Surrey County Council is considering changes to the community recycling centre service.
To find out more and to have your say, visit our residents' consultation before 30 September.
For more information, you can also read our frequently asked questions on the changes being considered.
Community Recycling Centres, once known as rubbish tips or dumps, are now called recycling centres as the majority of waste is recycled.

Visiting this centre
Under the Surrey resident scheme, you will be asked to prove that you are a Surrey resident when visiting this centre.
Construction and DIY waste
This centre only accepts construction and DIY waste if:
- it is from your home and
- it fits in your car.
Larger amounts and business construction waste must be taken to a waste transfer station.
Pedestrians can walk into this centre.
The centre temporarily closes when full containers need to be exchanged and waste compacted. Usually this happens each day and takes about 10 minutes (although this can vary). Warlingham is the nearest centre if Caterham is closed.
