Bagshot Community Recycling Centre
Shaping Surrey's Community Recycling Centres - Surrey County Council is considering changes to the community recycling centre service.
To find out more and to have your say, visit our residents' consultation before 30 September.
For more information, you can also read our frequently asked questions on the changes being considered.
Community Recycling Centres, once known as rubbish tips or dumps, are now called recycling centres as the majority of waste is recycled.
Winter (1 October - 31 March)
- Monday to Friday - 8am to 4.15pm
- Weekends - 9am to 4.15pm
Summer (1 April - 30 September)
- Monday to Friday - 8am to 5.15pm
- Weekends - 9am to 4.45pm
The centre is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
Vans, pickups and trailers need a permit to access this centre.
This centre accepts most household waste. It does not accept asbestos or plasterboard and gypsum based products. Tetra Paks and cartons cannot be recycled here but can be placed in the container for general waste.
This centre does not accept business waste. The nearest centre that accepts business waste is Guildford.
Construction and DIY waste
This centre only accepts construction and DIY waste if:
- it is from your home and
- it fits in your car.
Larger amounts and business construction waste must be taken to a waste transfer station.
For safety, pedestrians cannot walk into this centre.
The centre closes for approximately 10 minutes a day while full containers are exchanged and waste compacted. Camberley is the nearest centre if Bagshot is closed.
