New heathland display boards
The heathland project has developed ten new colourful
display boards for heaths across Surrey. The boards give information about heathland wildlife, history, and why and how we manage the heaths. The boards will be swapped round every few months. We would be interested to know what you think about them. Please contact
Heathland project with any thoughts or comments.

Conservation Grazing
The Project’s three ponies are grazing at Bullswater Common near Pirbright, and cattle will graze a number of heaths over the summer. They help to manage the heathland by eating gorse, brambles, tree saplings and grasses among other things. By controlling plants that would otherwise spread and take over, they help to keep the heath suitable for a diverse range of
wildlife.
