Summary :

Peter Hutley at Wintershall Estate in Bramley Surrey is able to provide a useful resource for schools to enhance their RE, Geography and Citizenship Education. Teachers are therefore invited to attend an introductory session at Wintershall from 4.15-5.45pm on 25 April 2006. This will be an opportunity to meet Peter Hutley and tour the Wintershall Estate. If you would like to attend, please fill in the attached application form and return it to Vivian Stacey at Four S by 20 April 2006.

Religious Education
Many schools are already aware of the impressive ‘Life of Christ’ performed outdoors in July each year. This is now attracting major media coverage and between 13-16 thousand participants each year, over the last eight years. See Bulletin 06/CYPSU/07 issued 8 February 06 for further information on this year’s event from 27 June to 2 July 2006. If you would like a member of the cast to speak about the Wintershall experience in an assembly or RE lesson (in full costume!), please contact the Wintershall Office directly. Peter Hutley is also happy to give 2 complimentary tickets per school for those teachers who would like to see this year’s production, prior to bringing pupils in 2007. Tickets are still available for pupils to visit the performance this year.

Geography/Citizenship
The Wintershall Estate also provides schools with the opportunity to visit an established organic farm with livestock and arable farming. GCSE groups for Geography and Economics have already found this a useful resource
