Participation for all Surrey young people

Services for Young People is working to help young people between 16 and 19 participate in education, training or employment while diverting them from offending. For learners with learning difficulties and disabilities, support goes up to the age of 25. Through multi agency case management, local support is provided targeted at individual needs. There are 11 local teams based in youth centres across Surrey working with health professionals, schools, colleges, police and voluntary organisations so that support can be tailored to each individual.

With the focus on prevention, young people most at risk can be identified as early as 13 and prepared for the transition from full time compulsory education. The needs of young people are different to those of a child; at Surrey, we understand what is going on in their lives and using every piece of data available to us, we can turn knowledge into better outcomes.

So, what is theĀ youth offer?
