Spelthorne borough team

The Spelthorne area covers approximately 5,116 hectares and is predominantly a residential borough. It has approximately 20km of the River Thames running through. It covers 9.52km of the M23 and M25 motorways and 12.09km of rail. The District has two fire stations:

The local area office for the borough is based in Walton and deals with fire safety enforcement issues as well as offering advice to businesses and members of the public on general safety issues. Residents in the borough can request a home fire safety visit.

The objectives for Surrey Fire and Rescue Service's Spelthorne Borough Team for 2011-2012 is to decrease instances within the following areas, by way of focused Community Safety Activities:

Accidental Dwelling Fires,
Road Traffic Collisions,
Unwanted Calls, and
Arson.
