Runnymede borough team

The Runnymede area covers approximately 7,804 hectares and is predominantly a residential borough. It has approximately 16km of the River Thames and 5km of the River Wey running through, covers 19.81km of the M3 and M25 motorway and 17.65km of rail. The District has two fire stations:

The local area office for the borough is based in Woking and deals with fire safety enforcement issues as well as offering advice to businesses and members of the public on general safety issues. Residents in the borough can request a home fire safety visit.

The objectives for Surrey Fire and Rescue Service's Runnymede Borough Team for 2011-2012 is to decrease instances within the following areas, by way of focused Community Safety Activities:

Accidental Dwelling Fires,
Road Traffic Collisions,
Unwanted Calls, and
Arson.
