Reigate and Banstead borough team

The Reigate and Banstead area covers approximately 12,913 hectares and is predominantly a residential borough. It has approximately 9km of the River Mole running through, covers 15.20km of the M23 and M25 motorways and 39.97km of rail. The District has one fire station:

The local area office for the borough is based in Leatherhead and deals with fire safety enforcement issues as well as offering advice to businesses and members of the public on general safety issues. Residents in the borough can request a home fire risk check.

The objectives for Surrey Fire and Rescue Service's Reigate and Banstead Borough Team for 2011-2012 is to decrease instances within the following areas, by way of focused Community Safety Activities:

  • Accidental Dwelling Fires,
  • Road Traffic Collisions,
  • Unwanted Calls, and
  • Arson.
