Guildford borough team

The Guildford area covers approximately 27,093 hectares and is predominantly a residential borough. It has approximately 26km of the River Wey running through, covers 2.61km of the M25 motorway and 60.04km of rail. The District has two fire stations:

The local area office for the borough is based in Farnham and deals with fire safety enforcement issues as well as offering advice to businesses and members of the public on general safety issues. Residents in the borough can request a home fire safety visit.

The objectives for Surrey Fire and Rescue Service's Guildford Borough Team for 2011-2012 is to decrease instances within the following areas, by way of focused Community Safety Activities:

Accidental Dwelling Fires,
Road Traffic Collisions,
Unwanted Calls, and
Arson.
