Surrey Fire and Rescue Authority’s Public Safety Plan (PSP) is its long term, risk based business strategy which outlines our future aims and priorities.
Surrey County Council’s Cabinet approved the latest version of the PSP in June 2011, which explains how we will deliver fire and rescue services in Surrey from now until 2020. It focuses on:
We have twelve specific outcomes described in the PSP and until 2020 to deliver them. In the meantime, we have a two-year action plan which sets out where we want to be by 2013.
The full plan (in two parts), a summary version and the 2011-2013 action plan are available below. Please note that we are currently working on a web friendly version of Appendix 3 (Community Risk Profile).
Further supporting documents are also available, including a consultation report which shows how public opinion has shaped the future of Surrey Fire and Rescue Service as it heads to the next decade.
The ORH Report below outlines the methodology and modelled impact of the changes to emergency response cover set out in the Public Safety Plan. The Appendices exceed the download limit for this site but are available on request.
