Change and Efficiency directorate
Strategic Director - Change and Efficiency: Julie Fisher
Change and Efficiency is the directorate responsible for managing the council's business - encompassing our finance, procurement, HR, systems, property and shared services departments.
Our Vision
Driving value for money by:
- Facilitating the redirection of financial resources into front line service delivery through highly motivated staff.
- Generating new income and helping keep Council tax demands low.
Deliver outstanding cross-council professional services by:
- Creating Innovative and strategic solutions in harmony with all services.
- Low cost volume transactional and data solutions adding clarity, challenge, simplicity, easy to use processes and governance arrangements.
- Creating an environment of financial stability that adds value to the whole organisation over a sustained period.
- Developing the efficient and productive use of the Councils; staff, property and systems.
Centralising these functions for all services is one of the key mechanisms that allows the council to provide increased value for money to residents, encasing all our business and "back office" functions in one place.
