Proving your age

There are a number of products which can only be sold to teenagers over a certain age, like alcohol and cigarettes.

You can prove your age by carrying your driving licence or passport with you but these can be easily lost so a good alternative is a CitizenCard, and there are a number of these around.

We have advised retailers in Surrey who sell age restricted products to be more aware of their obligations so you will no doubt be asked to have some proof of your age.

You can get an application form for proof of age schemes at school or at some shops in Surrey. Or contact us to email a request for an application form.
