If you offer goods or services on credit or lend money to consumers, you need to be licensed by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT).
Trading without a licence can have serious consequences as it is a criminal offence that can potentially result in a fine and/or imprisonment.
To apply for a Consumer Credit Licence application form telephone the OFT on 020 7211 8608 or by email on enquiries@oft.gov.uk with your full address.
