Surrey County Council’s Tandridge Local Committee is one of eleven established in April 2002. The aim of the committee is to bring the county and its services closer to people in Tandridge.
The six County Councillors for Tandridge work with key partners to develop and implement actions specifically tailored to meet the needs of local residents. Reports on various county services are presented at meetings as well as from partners on issues such as Education in the area or Community Safety. Six Tandridge District Councillors join the County Councillors for the whole meeting and together they make decisions on Transportation issues, Rights of Way and Highways issues.
Local people are welcome to attend the regular public meetings and can raise issues through submitting petitions or questions to the Local Partnerships Team for the local committee to respond to.
Additionally, for the period of 2008/09 each County Councillor has been allocated £11,000 by Surrey County Council to spend on projects to promote the social, economic and environmental well being of the local community.
