Are you worried about a child's safety or well being? Please use the links below to find out what you should do and who you should contact to report any concerns you may have.

The safety of children in Surrey is co-ordinated by the Surrey Safeguarding Children Board (SSCB) and below is a link to the SSCB Manual of Child Protection Procedures for practitioners.

What to do if you are concerned about a child

If you think that a child or young person under the age of 18 years old, who lives in Surrey, is being abused or neglected, you should report your concerns to Surrey County Council's Children's Service by telephoning the Surrey Contact Centre on 0300 200 1006 or, in an emergency, you should report the matter to Surrey Police.

Outside of office hours and at weekends and public holidays, the Emergency Duty Team should be contacted by telephoning 01483 517898. However, if you are seriously concerned about a child's immediate safety, always dial 999.
